Library Services for Distance Students
Students taking all their courses online and who live outside of Kearney, NE, are eligible for Library Services for Distance Students. Distance Students may request books from the Calvin T. Ryan Library collection and journal articles that are not available online through Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery (ILL/DD).
Instructions for accessing your library account and other online library resources and services.
Search the library catalog for books and other materials (government documents, DVDs, etc.) that can be sent to you through ILL/DD. These materials are sent via U.S. mail and you are responsible for mailing the material back to the library by the due date.
Search for journal articles using a wide variety of databases, and link to the full-text articles. You may also search for specific journal titles by using the Journal Finder. Journal articles not available online may be requested through ILL/DD.

Library Research Tutorial
A self-paced, in-depth, online tutorial that outlines the steps of the research process and introduces research tools and services available at the Calvin T. Ryan Library.
Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery
ILL/DD service is available to all Distance Students. There is no cost to you for this service. When you register for ILL/DD services please make sure to select the 'Distance' status.

Reciprocal Borrowing Policy
Reciprocal borrowing is a policy whereby the faculty, staff and students of cooperating college and university libraries in Nebraska may, on site, borrow library materials at other, cooperating academic libraries.
